Company Information:
160 individuals were in the company when it began its journey from the outfitting post on the Elkhorn River about 27 miles west of Winter Quarters, Nebraska.

Elizabeth Smith (who later married Thomas Jefferson Thurston) and her parents John and Mary A. (all 3 are listed as ages unknown)
Departure: 8 June 1853

Company Information:
282 individuals and 70 wagons were in the company when it began its journey from the outfitting post at Six-Mile Grove, Iowa or Nebraska.
