Jesse Carter Little

Departure:  14 April 1847
Arrival in Salt Lake Valley:  21-24 July 1847

Company Information:
The original pioneer company consisted of 142 men, 3 women, and 2 children, and 72 wagons when they left the outfitting post of Winter Quarters, Nebraska.  They covered the 1300 miles of the trail in 111 days.

Departure: 18 July 1852
Arrival in Salt Lake Valley: 12 October 1852

Company Information:
About 226 individuals were in the company when it began its journey from the outfitting post at Kanesville, Iowa (present day Council Bluffs)

*******1847- Jedediah M. Grant/ Willard Snow Company*******************************
Thomas Jefferson Thurston
Thomas 47 (a captain of 10), with 1st wife Rosetta 38, and many of their children

Departure: 19 June 1847
Arrival in Salt Lake Valley:  4 October 1847

Company Information:
160 individuals were in the company when it began its journey from the outfitting post on the Elkhorn River about 27 miles west of Winter Quarters, Nebraska.

*******1853- Daniel A. Miller/ John W. Cooley Company********************************
Elizabeth Smith (who later married Thomas Jefferson Thurston) and her parents John and Mary A. (all 3 are listed as ages unknown)

Departure: 8 June 1853
Arrival in Salt Lake Valley:  9-17 September 1853

Company Information:
282 individuals and 70 wagons were in the company when it began its journey from the outfitting post at Six-Mile Grove, Iowa or Nebraska.
